Quantified self space

Translation into plain English The narcissistic app market

Perpetrator IC tomorrow

Usage example “It is because of these gaps that Innovate UK’s IC tomorrow programme is launching a new digital innovation contest to provide five start-ups the chance to win £35,000 each and work with leading brands exploring the quantified self space.” (Spotted by D Moss)

Lucy’s commentary I have never been a fan of the Fitbit, Jawbone or any other device that tells you how many steps you’ve taken. The data they generate is of no interest and of no obvious use either. But now I know that they belong in the “quantified self space” I like them even less. I hope they will stay there forever and leave me alone.
