Restacking your area

Translation into plain English Moving staff to new desks

Perpetrator UK-based media company

Usage example "As most of you are aware, we will be restacking your area on the 2nd floor on Friday 02nd April in order to create space for Marketing." (Spotted by Chris Torrero)

Lucy’s commentary Office moves are never popular. Everyone always hates it when their desks are moved - especially if the reason is to make room for marketing. But to call it restacking makes it even less pleasant than it needs be. After all, it's not very nice to be made to feel like an item on a supermarket shelf.
